Isleham Fresh Produce (IFP) is launching Parisienne carrots onto the marketplace following a successful initial trial.
Area under production has increased to 100 tonnes this season compared to 15t last year.
National account manager at IFP Catriona Mowbray, said: “Sample digs have shown the crop to have full colour and be very juicy. Despite the extreme heat we have seen this summer, the crop has performed exceptionally well.”
The carrot will be exclusive to Waitrose's speciality range and is offered in 250g punnets until late November.
