Non-governmental organisation Banana Link will be pushing the Caribbean banana cause at next week's Notting Hill Carnival under the slogan Caribbean Bananas ñ Best of the Bunch.
Carnival-goers will be invited by the Caribbean banana float to send a postcard to their MP pleading for the interests of small producers in the islands to be discussed at next month's World Trade Organisation conference in Cancún.
Participation at the carnival is being sponsored by Mack Multiples and Oxfam among others.
