To create focus on fruit and logistics as key aspects of its business, Capespan Group Holdings Ltd has clustered the group’s activities into logical divisional groupings.
The Capespan Fruit Division, with Louis Kriel Jr as chief executive officer, includes all the procurement and marketing entities of the group, with the aim of developing and improving internal relationships. Kriel is currently managing director of Capespan International plc and will retain this portfolio for the forseeable future.
Capespan Exports (Pty) Ltd, headed by newly appointed managing director Graham Botha, will house the fruit business units and their support services. Previously, Botha was financial director of Capespan (Pty) Ltd.
All non-core activities are grouped under the Investment Division.
Neil Oosthuizen, managing director of Capespan Group Holdings, said the renewed focus will enable the group to further enhance its position as one of the leading fruit marketing organisations in the world. “This business model has the flexibility to service all our growers’ needs, in addition to the diverse requirements of our global customer base.”
