Capespan Exports has shipped more than 100 containers with a single service provider both in week 27 and 28 in a first for the company.

In week 27, the fresh fruit supplier shipped 105 containers on the MSC Barbara and 150 containers in week 28 on the MSC Laura.

Capespan Exports general manager of operations, Deon Joubert, said: “Despite the tough season there are always achievements to celebrate. This achievement is thanks to the hard work and effort of our growers, staff and MSC.”

The shipment century was also a landmark first for MSC and to mark the occasion, the company invited Capespan Exports to the ship in Cape Town and presented Capespan Exports’ vessel planner Penny Thebus with a model of the ship.
