The Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) is to launch a Bi-Annual Africa Product Standards Workshop, scheduled to take place at The Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West, Cape Town on 20-22 April.
The PPECB, in collaboration with the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the South African Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF), will be hosting this workshop - a first for South Africa.
The workshop has a specific focus on African countries and will endeavour to develop the knowledge and expertise of fruit and vegetable standards required for trade to major international markets.
Leading international experts from the EU and the UK, together with product specialists from PPECB, will provide the platform for discussion on a variety of products.
Exporters and traders from across the African continent are expected to attend the workshop.
