Canary Islands tomatoes are looking good this season and will be supported by a new promotion, said Food From Spain.
“We are predicting another excellent season, assuring quality supply to retailers, and the flavour and reliability that customers have come to expect,” said FFS director Maria Jose Sevilla.
This year, the tomatoes will be supported with a new recipe booklet entitled “on the trail of the talented tomato”, featuring six recipes.
“We’re excited about the coming season and believe this promotional activity will help drive sales significantly,” said Sevilla.
“Take up of the promotion by virtually all our multiple customers has been excellent. It will run through November and December and will appeal to both cookery enthusiasts, and busy mums with mouths to feed.”
She said the Canary Islands sustained investment in systems, crop management and logistics over the years was now paying off.
