Blueberries are proving a major export success for Canadian producers, according to the Canadian Produce Marketing Association.
Ron Lemaire, marketing director, said the CPMA was making its first appearance at Fruit Logistica last week.
The organization, which has existed for 80 years, is Canada’s national association for the fruit and vegetable trade and can provide a network of firms which can help to achieve success in the fruit and vegetable business at both a national and an international level.
It represents over 550 international and Canadian members, which together account for 90 per cent of the fresh fruit and vegetable trade in Canada, with a value of some six billion Canadian dollars.
