California reports cherry success

The California Cherry Advisory Board is reporting a very successful season in the UK.

"We have had a very successful year and California growers and shippers are very happy," said CCAB’s UK spokesman David Cox. "It is too early to confirm figures, but all indications are for a very positive result.

"The harvest began 10 days earlier than normal, and with the European crop running slightly late, we were able to see California cherries in store without too much competition.
