Berry, asparagus and topfruit nursery Plants365 has relocated to a new facility near Spalding in Lincolnshire following expansion in its first 12 months.
Set up by Stefan Belakov, a former salesman at plant breeder Hargreaves Plants, the company supplies professional growers and customers in the home garden sector across Europe.
“We have had a very exciting first year in business and have worked with a small number of specialist European plant nurseries to develop high value plants into a range of customers,” said Belakov.
“We have also signed licenses to multiply seven protected blueberry varieties to keep us at the forefront of this ever-expanding market place.
“In order to keep pace with these developments, we have had to move to a larger nursery, incorporating modern growing facilities with protected structures as well as heating and lights for technical plant propagation.”
He added that autumn and winter sales had outstripped expectations, with the company expanding to new markets outside the EU, particularly for its blueberry plants.
