Brobot to trade as Londis

Forecourt retailer Brobot Petroleum has confirmed Londis as its long-term retail partner, following a successful trial.

The 21-strong chain in the East Midlands and Yorkshire is expected to achieve annual sales in excess of £10 million as a result of the deal.

Brobot Petroleum is a family-owned business with interests in forecourt retail. All 21 of its outlets will be rebranded under the Londis name this month.

Steve Lucas, Londis sales director, said: “We are delighted that Brobot Petroleum has chosen Londis. These are challenging economic times and we will continue to strengthen our offer to Londis retailers, putting our retail partners at the heart of all that we do.”

Eddie Bright, Brobot sales director, said: “We had a long and successful relationship with our previous supplier, but market changes required a new direction for Brobot to enhance our shop offer to meet customer demands and after much research, we decided Londis most suited our requirements.

“The transition was made seamlessly and the emphasis between our companies is based on partnership. Londis also brings a wealth of expertise in store development and infrastructure that complements our business, providing Brobot with the opportunities to grow and meet the challenges of future forecourt retailing.”
