British Summer Fruits launches website

British Summer Fruits has launched its new re-designed website www.britishsummerfruits.co.uk.

The site has been designed by graphic designer Anne Wehebrink, based on the visual identity created by Duffy London. The site has been streamlined, modernised and up-dated.

News will be added to the site throughout the year to keep it current and provide consumers a reason to return to it.

The website is further evidence of British Summer Fruits new approach to marketing. The organisation is now looking to increase awareness of summer fruits such as strawberries and raspberries as modern, versatile, nutritious and healthy and to increase awareness of the extended April-December season. The body is working with Sputnik Communications to meet these demands.

Laurence Olins, chairman of British Summer Fruits, said: “As a group we have chosen to take a fresh approach to how we market ourselves and our fruits. It is important to us that we reflect this in all our visual communications. Our new website is fresh, modern and versatile, and we look forward to the response it receives.”

The industry body represents UK growers who supply more than 98 per cent of soft and stone fruit sold in national supermarkets.
