Brazil has relaxed its stance on Chilean fresh fruit imports.

According to Chilean senator Alejandro Foxley the import ban is now only relating to two un-named grape exporters that have experienced some problems with their production.

The Chilean industry was disgruntled at the initial stand-off between the two countries’ governments, after the “Brevipalpus chilensis” mite, which is not present in Brazil, was reportedly discovered in consignments of Chilean grapes.
