One of the brassica industry’s biggest players has moved from Emmett to its rival TH Clements.

Lincolnshire-based brassica specialists TH Clements have welcomed Richard Mowbary to the business.

Mowbary, who has amassed a wealth of experience throughout retail fresh produce sector, taking up the role as the company’s commercial manager.

TH Clements md Chris Gedney said: “We are delighted that Richard has joined the team. The appointment is another step in the evolution of the TH Clements strategy and follows a series of structural changes made across the commercial and technical sides of the business.”

“Richard is vastly experienced and highly regarded within the brassica industry. These stand out qualities will aid the TH Clements expansion and ultimately the category as a whole, to deliver expansion in terms of volume growth, consumer recognition and product development.

“The brassica industry has been rocked in recent months with reports suggesting drops in consumer demand, coupled with adverse weather conditions tightening availability throughout the UK and Europe.

TH Clements is a supplier to the UK’s retail and wholesale markets.
