The Brammy Awards, which are now in their 10th year are the highlight of the Bramley apple year. They aim to recognise and reward manufacturers, retailers and caterers who have made the most of the Bramley apple during the year.
Chairman of the Bramley Campaign, Ian Mitchell said: 'Entries have grown year-on-year and this reflects the ever increasing number of new products using Bramley which continue to be developed.' The categories are: best Bramley apple pie/pastry product; best Bramley apple sauce; best Bramley apple crumble; best Bramley apple juice; best Bramley savoury product; best multiple retailer; best Bramley media chef; best Bramley food writer; best food service and best catering organisation.
