Bramley recipes have proved hugely popular

The Bramley Campaign is preparing for one of its most important events during the year - Bramley Apple Week.

Bramley Apple Week, which takes place on 7-14 February, is a highlight in the campaign’s activity each year, generating widespread coverage in the press, radio and television.

This year, the week focuses on versatility and innovation, with a series of new recipes that demonstrate Bramley’s many uses beyond traditional pies and crumbles. Coverage of the recipes, including chicken and Bramley apple fajitas, has already been secured in top magazines including Chat, Cook Vegetarian, Sainsbury’s Magazine, Woman and Woman’s Weekly, and will appear during the month of February and beyond.

In addition, the campaign has teamed up with BBC Magazines to produce a special insert in the hugely popular Easy Cook magazine, which has a readership of more than 200,000.

The Bramley website, www.bramleyapples.co.uk, has also been redesigned and updated in time for Bramley Apple Week, with new recipes available online and an improved search function. Currently, around 3,000 visitors each month log on to the site to find recipe inspiration, with the monthly e-newsletter sent to thousands more.

Bramley Campaign chairman Adrian Barlow said: “Bramley Apple Week is a really important time for us and we are building on the momentum of last year’s bicentenary to make a real impact.

“The combination of the BBC Easy Cook insert, the recipe coverage and the increasingly important online activity will ensure that Bramleys will be hard to miss.”
