A selection of BPC projects can be viewed at the organisation's website www.potato.org.uk or levy-payers can specify their own requirements by calling the council on 01865 782273 to ask for a feedback form.

'Feedback will highlight regional differences or issues affecting those who grow for specific markets such as processing,' said Mike Storey, BPC R&D director. 'This will be an on-going process providing us with live and immediate industry feedback to help us direct the future priorities with greater speed and efficiency.' The initiative is part of the BPC's have-your-say campaign. Earlier in the year, levy payers were asked to chose the content of market information and technology transfer meetings.

'The positive feedback at MITT meetings proved this approach works,' said Dr Storey.
