Three new cases in crops were found close to Wrangle, south Lincolnshire, Methven near Perth and on a dump near Longtown, Cumbria.
The infections were identified by BPC blight scouts who sent plant samples from each location off for laboratory analysis. The BPC reminds all potato growers to check for waste material on land and around buildings and to destroy plant growth as soon as it's found.
