The British Potato Council has identified that blight outbreaks are continuing to be identified throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

Fresh outbreaks have occurred in Scotland, in Perthshire, Midlothian, East Lothian, Fife and in the Borders. In Wales further outbreaks have been confirmed in the Bangor and Snowdonia regions. While in England, Selby in North Yorkshire and volunteer crops around Ledbury in Herefordshire and Woodbridge in Suffolk.

Meanwhile, the BP03 demo crop has received a late fungicide spray to protect the 32-acre crop for a large-scale potato harvesting and handling equipment demonstration at British Potato 2003.
