British Potato 2003 is organised by the British Potato Council for the entire supply chain. It is also the BPC's most important knowledge- transfer event for its own funded activities and offers visitors a range of practical advice from seed to the supermarket shelf.

The event will feature keynote seminars addressing pesticide use, benchmarking, exports and challenges to the global marketplace; BPC advice workshops covering blight and including new research; practical storage techniques and preparation for new water legislation.

There will also be an interactive BPC storage zone and quality control area and working harvesting and grading demonstrations as well as an enlarged working packaging and handling area.

A BPC seed zone will act as a showcase for a collaboration of commercial and research organisations.

In total, the BPC is expecting 180 exhibitors who between them will show the latest in potato technology. The figure also includes more than 30 exhibitors who are entirely new to the event.
