Bosch releases new flow wrapper

Bosch Packaging Technology has launched the new Pack 201 FV medium-speed horizontal flow wrapper designed for gentle packaging of delicate products including fruit and veg.

Bosch has upgraded the Pack 201 FV with a carrier chain which ensures gentle product feeding and minimises additional heat through friction during product transport thus preventing product damage and reducing waste. The machine can gas flush packages before filling and sealing to maintain produce freshness and reduce contamination risks, leading to extended shelf life.

Transport belts carry difficult- to- handle products through the folding box into the film tube. The transport belts assure the gentle handling of products and a smooth operation, with no risk of failure.

Photoelectric sensors integrated in the tube tunnel enable No Gap - No Seal safety functionality. This function guarantees that the gap between the different products while sealing is big enough for the sealing jaw to avoid damage of either the product or the machine. This results in reduced product spoilage and cleaning efforts, and minimises production stoppages for increased efficiency.

Simple format changes for packaging various sized products through the adjustable folding box infeed allow for maximum machine efficiency. The HMI (Human Machine Interface) ensures easy operation and handling of the machine.

Marc de Vries, product manager at Bosch Packaging Technology, said: “The Pack 201 FV is designed to withstand the special conditions and production environment associated with perishable products. The robust machine design accommodates short change-over times in a market where product types vary according to the season in types and sizes.”
