Borough Market is launching a ‘Click & Collect By Car’ service to allow customers to pick up groceries and store cupboard essentials.
The new service, which is available from 1-5pm Monday to Saturday, will see customers book their pick-up slot and then driving into the car collection area, accessed via Bedale Street. A member of the Borough Market Online team will be waiting to give them their order and place it in their car boot, without the need for people to leave their car.
All staff will be following social distancing guidelines and will wear masks and gloves, Borough Market stressed. Customers can order viahttps://www.goodsixty.co.uk/borough-market.
Darren Henaghan, managing director at Borough Market, explained: “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to access our traders’ wonderful range of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and cheeses. This new service is for Londoners who live or work locally but don’t want to come into contact with others – they can pick up all their essential ingredients without having to leave their car.”
Borough Market remains open for business from Monday to Saturday, with social distancing measures in place. The market is focused on selling essential supplies of fresh produce and store cupboard ingredients for those working and living in the local community. All restaurants and catered food remain closed.
