Charles Wilson, chief executive of leading wholesaler Booker, will deliver the 2014 City Food Lecture.
The invitation-only event takes place on 17 February 2014 at London's Guildhall, with up to 600 leading industry guests in attendance.
Wilson's address will be followed by a panel debate hosted by Adam Leyland, editor of The Grocer, with questions being put by the audience. The panel will include Doug Gurr, vice president of Amazon UK, Ronald Kers, CEO of Muller UK and Andrew Main, CEO of Aramark.
Previous speakers at the prestigious event have included Neslé chief executive Paul Bulke, Sainsbury's boss Justin King and Unilever CEO Paul Polman.
