Preparations are now well underway for the fourth British Leafy Salads Association (BLSA) Conference on Wednesday November 19, 2008, which will be held in the Peterborough and Cambridge Suites at the East of England Showground, Peterborough.

The conference is being organised by the BLSA, which represents leafy salad growers, both outdoor and glasshouse, across the country.

The theme for this year is “Which Way Now”, and presentations will address future marketing and technical requirements for the industry. A broad range of speakers have now been confirmed, including Betsy Bihn from the department of food science at Cornell University, USA, and Greg Wallace, presenter of BBC Two’s Masterchef and BBC Radio 4’s Veg Talk.

The Rijk Zwaan sponsored event will also feature a trade exhibition, which will run alongside the conference. Delegates will range from growers and marketing specialists to technical personnel and produce buyers.
