A fully portable, inflatable, short-term potato storage solution has been developed by Preva Produce, LambWeston Meijer and Lindstrand Technologies to reduce the costs of temporary storage. The Airstore enables potatoes to be stored for around eight weeks.
It is manufactured using a specialist fabric with a 20 year life by Lindstrand Technologies Ltd who are the UK’s leading specialists in manufacturing pneumatic structures.
The building is designed to be easily extendable and is made in modules and any number of body sections can be joined to make a structure of the required length.
Airstore's can be put up in a day although Preva recommends using a cherry picker for safety and simplicity.
