The British Independent Fruit Growers’ Association (BIFGA) has organised a spring farm walk and farm assurance meeting in Kent for Wednesday, May 14.

The programme, which will take place at Hayle Farm in Tonbridge, will start at 4.45pm with a tour of the orchards on the farm’s site and a presentation of the progress report entitled “Rolling Back Farm Assurance Schemes” will follow at 6.30pm. The meeting will also give delegates the opportunity to exchange views with guest speaker professor Mark Tatchell, chairman of the Assured Produce Scheme.

BIFGA members - the ICA, Farm Refrigeration Ltd and Storage Technology Solutions Ltd - will sponsor the event.
