The Brassica Growers Association has announced details of its conference and trade exhibition. The biennial event will take place on January 19, 2010 at the Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln.

The 2010 brassica conference programme includes contributions on pest control, clubroot work results and weed control. On the high street in the UK the effects of the recession, inflation and the weather will be interpreted by Ed Garner of TNS Worldpanel, with the retailer view expressed by Alan Wilson of Waitrose. How to grow a profitable market for brassica crop will be presented by Professor David Hughes.

To complete the most ambitious programme and trade show yet, the industry dinner on Jannuary 19 concludes with a light-hearted presentation from the chairman of the Spanish broccoli exporters association.

The event is sponsored by Bayer CropScience.
