With the final date for making exclusive savings on delegate fees nearing, berry industry professionals are readying themselves for London's Global Berry Congress on 12 May.

Focusing on the pressing issues facing the international berry market, new updates to the congress’s programme offer an intriguing line-up.

Opening with a welcome address from Laurence Olins, chairman of Gold sponsor British Summer Fruits, the Global Berry Congress programme gives voice to leading industry insiders Bruce Axtman of Perishables Group and Ed Garner of Kantar Worldpanel, both providing essential commentary on the current shape of the global berry market.

Cort Brazelton, from the world’s largest blueberry nursery and intellectual property management company, Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc., will look at grower challenges, before the session then breaks into discussion with Teresa Scattini of Transfresh (USA), Mark Tollman of Sharp Interpack (UK) and Dr Nigel Kerby of Mylnefield Research Services (UK).

Delegates also have the opportunity to listen to valuable advice from successful berry marketers Andy Jackson, buying manager at Asda, and Lianne Jones of Blueberries from the South.

Delegates registering online before 14 April can make a 20 per cent saving on registration fees, with further savings available for groups of colleagues wishing to attend.

Sponsored by a wealth of major industry players like Total Berry, British Summer Fruits, Well-Pict and Veiling Hoogstraten, the networking opportunities available at Global Berry Congress will be of major interest to all berry industry professionals.

Bringing together more than 250 importers, exporters, wholesalers, retailers, shippers and logistic companies, the Global Berry Congress will take place at Hilton Tower Bridge, London.
