Belgian importer-exporter Special Fruit is bringing two locally grown novelty strawberries to market.
Produced near the company’s Meer HQ, pineberries and raspberry-strawberries each have their own distinctive taste and appearance and are being marketed under the Berry Fresh brand.
Pineberries have a flavour reminiscent of pineapple and are being promoted as a smoothie ingredient or for decorating cocktails as well as in their fresh form. While raspberry-strawberries are very similar to raspberries in appearance but with an entirely different taste.
