Fennel is now part of the Beacon Foods portfolio

Beacon Foods is adding a new fennel product to its fresh produce range.

The exotic ingredients specialist is introducing sliced fennel for use in specialty ‘tear and share’ bread.

Diane Bailey, product development manager, said: “We are confident of finding other customers for fennel as it not only has a distinctive flavour, but is also known for its medicinal and culinary qualities.”

Beacon Foods produces over 500, GM free varieties of processed and cooked vegetables, fruits and herbs, which are used in ready-made meals and sandwiches.
