Beacon Foods has announced the appointment of Diane Bailey, 48 as their new product development manager.

Bailey has 24 years experience of developing new food products. She began her career at Newtime Foods, and has worked for Hazelwoods in Selby and the Albert Fisher company, Suffolk Foods and Cottage Delight. Bailey has experience working on an array of products including jams, pickles and chutneys.

On her appointment Bailey said: “Many customers know Beacon Foods as quality suppliers of garlic and ginger but are unaware that we can offer much more. We can supply food manufacturers with tailor-made fruit and vegetable ingredients and also prepared garnishes.”

Beacon Food managing director Edward Gough described Diane's appointment as a strategic decision by the company as it continues its rapid growth.

Bailey takes over from Robert Sweet who has moved on to become Beacon's sale manager.
