The British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association (BCMPA) has announced it will take a pavilion at Total Processing and Packaging 2004.

The decision follows the trend to outsource many packing operations that traditionally have been handled in-house. Chairman of the BCMPA Tony McBride said the amalgamation of Pakex, the PPMA Show, Interphex and Eurochem was instrumental in the decision and provided an opportunity to raise the association's profile.

McBride said: “The contract and manufacturing and packing sector is entering a new and exciting phase as companies start to recognise the value of outsourcing, allowing them time to focus on their core business.”

Total Processing and Packaging 2004 takes place at the Birmingham NEC from March 29 - April 1.
