The tolylfluanid-containing products Elvaron Multi and Talat have been recalled by Bayer CropScience following its European supension.

The company said that studies in Germany are advancing to support the argument that the suspension of the products should be lifted.

Bayer reports that data will be evaluated by the tolylfluanid rapporteur state, Finland, with its proposals then being considered by the European Commission.

The company expressed the view that although it is impossible to predict at this stage that Elvaron Multi and Talat will not be reinstated in time for the 2008 usage season, adding that product will probably need to be re-labelled in accordance with change of use profiles required by the registration authorities.
