Barfoots launches convenience brand

Sweetcorn supplier Barfoots Of Botley has unveiled plans for its launch into the UK branded produce arena.

The convenience orientated product, aptly named Sweetcorn Bites, marks the companyê¼s first venture into own brand marketing and heralds “a new thinking for the business”.

Barfoots commercial director Jon Barfoot: “After extensive research and planning we feel the time is right for our first foray into the branded product offer.

“Over the years we have been at the forefront of development throughout the Sweetcorn category and have recognised that a branded approach is the logical evolution to the offer.

“We believe Sweetcorn Bites will increase consumer penetration through the winter season and become a significant year-round value driver for the Barfoots business.”

The packs have been designed to appeal to shoppers already purchasing within the fixture, whilst aiming to introduce new consumers to the Sweetcorn category.

Key to the brand positioning is the promotion of Sweetcorn Bites as family favourite thatê¼s quick and easy cook.
