Barfoots of Botley is expanding distribution of its Sweetcorn Bites brand with nationwide distribution to 1,000 Co-operative stores.
Sweetcorn Bites launched last summer and this latest move follows a successful trial period with the retailer, which has seen sales increases along with the enticement of new shoppers to the sweetcorn category.
James Meers, business unit manager of Barfoots of Botley said: “Sweetcorn Bites has been the first of our developments under the Grown With Love brand strategy. We have invested heavily in promotional activity throughout the retail arena along with nationwide awareness campaigns across some of the UK’s most notable food festivals and street markets.”
The distribution follows on from a successful online marketing campaign in which the brand engaged with parent-and-child bloggers.
Meers said: “Our recent activities have helped us to define the role of Sweetcorn Bites as an offering both in terms of our customers requirements and ultimately the consumer’s needs and wants. The results of this work will be assessed and acted upon to ensure the successful delivery of the next generation of Grown With Love products.”
