Pam Powell replaces Barfoots’ non-executive chairman Harry Kinloch, who has stepped down after 20 years
Pam Powell has been appointed Barfoots’ non-executive chairman after Harry Kinloch stepped down from the role after 20 years.
In an announcement yesterday (8 June), Barfoots said Kinloch had been a key adviser to the West Sussex-based vegetable business and had contributed at every level ”in an insightful and effective way”.
Powell comes to the position after holding a number of key roles in companies including Unilever and brewer SABMiller.She is currently a director at Premier Foods plc – maker of brands such as Mr Kipling and Bisto – and Cranswick plc, a leading supplier of fresh and added-value foods.
Commenting on Powell’s appointment, Barfoots founder and group chairman Peter Barfoot said: “ I look forward to welcoming Pam to Barfoots as we navigate the challenging times the industry is faced with. I am sure she will help guide the business effectively as we seek to maintain growth and achieve our plans over the coming years.”
