Professor John Moverley OBE is organising a forum on the worldwide production and marketing of bananas at this year’s World Fruit and Vegetable Show.

The forum, which will take place on October 21 at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London, will run in conjunction with other seminars planned for the two days of the event.

The fresh produce department at sponsors International Supermarket News is producing a programme of speakers to drive discussion on this specific topic. These will represent UK fresh produce retailers, suppliers and distributors. The forum will include a focus on the shipment of bananas globally.

Professor Moverley recently spoke at the International Conference for Bananas and Fresh Fruit held in South America, where he presented a paper addressing the consumption and demand for bananas and fresh fruit in Europe.

The World Fruit and Veg Show is a trade exhibition for fruit and vegetables with a number of forums and seminars running alongside.
