The 100 Years of Feel Good Fuel booklete will given away at Wimbledon and at sampling events in-store throughout the summer.

The aim of the publication is to generate coverage in key media as well as 'excitement' among consumers and to provide retailers with new point-of-sale materials to highlight the versatility and benefits of eating bananas.

It has facts and figures on bananas and promotes the benefits of eating the fruit daily. Several editorial features in key women's magazines have already been placed to be published in June and July when the Banana Group will be also be supporting GMTV's Get Up and Give campaign with its giant banana characters.

'By working with the media and retailers, the campaign booklet will remind consumers of the heritage and many benefits of bananas – and really position them as the ideal fruit to eat throughout the summer months,' said David Read, banana group chairman.
