Azerbaijan’s pomegranate growers are celebrating after Jala Super Juice became the first Azeri food and drink brand to be launched in the UK as the country begins a major push to increase food and drink exports.
Based at the crossroads between Western Asia and Eastern Europe, Azerbaijan is best known for its oil and gas rich lands but has a long and treasured history of cultivating pomegranates, where they have grown naturally in the mountains of the Caspian for thousands of years.
Jala Super Juice comes in three flavours - pomegranate with raspberry, pomegranate with orange and pomegranate with strawberry.

The product, which features no artificial additives, sweeteners, preservatives or colours, is already exported to various markets including the US, Germany, Russia and Greece and the UK launch of Jala Super Juice is seen as a significant step in the company’s and the country’s future development.
Azerbaijan Juices Ltd marketing manager Bill Sedat said: “Azerbaijan has a burgeoning food and drink industry with a wide range of high quality products which I believe will come to the fore in the next few years in export markets around the world. The Jala Super Juice range is best displayed chilled and comes in one litre cartons at a RRP of £1.99.
