Azerbaijan prepares for food exhibition

The 14th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition is to take place on May 15-17.

The exhibition, which is divided into WorldFood 2008 and WorldFood Tech 2008, will cover fruit and vegetables, as well as packing and refrigerating equipment.

Azerbaijan is the biggest state of the South Caucasus, with a population of 8.5 million.

The 2004-08 state programme of socio-economic development in the regions of the Azerbaijan Republic envisages a growth of 10-15 per cent in all branches of the GDP structure, including agriculture.
