Asian conference draws closer

Asia's only fresh fruit and vegetable conference runs from November 7-9, 2003 at the luxury Taj Mahal Hotel in central Mumbai (Bombay), the commercial capital of India.

The Asiafruit Congress represents a great opportunity to meet and do business with the key decision makers in the Indian and Asian fresh fruit and vegetable business. Market experts say that there are now some 100 million middle class consumers in South Asia's largest fresh fruit and vegetable market of more than one billion people and they are all keen to buy imported fresh fruit and vegetables. Indeed, India has just been tipped by the influential World Apple Report as "one of the best hopes" for apple and pear exporters in particular.

There is a full programme of conference session and networking opportunities scheduled at this year's Asiafruit Congress. Included are expert analyses of all the major markets in South Asia as well as visits to the main Mumbai wholesale market at Washi as well as the city's leading food retail outlet, Crawford Market.
