Further additions have been made to the line-up of this year’s Asiafruit Congress, taking place in Hong Kong in the autumn.

Asiafruit Congress brings some 600 of the fresh produce world’s top decision-makers together in a three-day event hosted at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event takes place on 8-10 September and savings of 20 per cent on event fees are available for online registrations made at www.asiafruitcongress.com

The Asiafruit Congress programme provides delegates with expert commentary on the latest trends in Asia, focusing its attention on developments within the Philippines, China and beyond.

The event, organised by Asiafruit Magazine, will boast Luciano Frederick Puyod III of Philippine Fresh Fruits Corp and John Wang, chief executive of Lantao, in its line-up.

Puyod will provide a comprehensive overview of the Philippines’ position in production and exports, Wang will discuss the opportunities and challenges entailed in importing fresh produce to China and Thue Barfod of Maersk Line will outline logistics developments on shipping routes into and out of Asia.

Other topics up for discussion at this year’s Asiafruit Congress include food safety and the strategies major Asian food retailers are taking on, plus Chile’s role as a supplier to the international markets.

The unique networking opportunities available at Asiafruit Congress will be of interest to everyone involved in the fresh produce world. The Asiafruit Congress Welcome Reception and three networking breaks help to maximise and further the quality of contacts made.
