The organisers of this year’s Asia Fruit Logistica (AFL) in Hong Kong have billed the trade show as “the simplest, most cost-effective access to a wide range of key movers and shakers in Asia’s fast-growing fresh fruit and vegetable business”.

Online booking for visitors to the event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 8-10 September has opened,

Gérald Lamusse, managing director of Global Produce Events GmbH, the organiser of AFL, said: “Just imagine all the time and money you would have to spend if you were expected individually to visit every one of your customers in every country in Asia.

“Our trade exhibition offers you the most efficient way to keep in touch with your key customers and to make important new contacts in the Asian fresh produce market.”

More than 3,500 trade visitors from the fresh produce business all over the world are expected to travel to Hong Kong in September.

Two-thirds of all visitors come from Asia, with more than 80 per cent of all visitors in key buying roles in their companies or organisations. More than 90 per cent of the visitors to last year’s event said they would recommend the exhibition to other trade professionals.

The latest exhibitors to confirm have come from companies or organisations in China, New Zealand, South frica, Italy and Belgium. More than 250 exhibitors from Asia and the rest of the world are due to take part at the three-day trade exhibition this year.

Lamusse added: “Demand for exhibition stands is already very good this year. Of course, among many other things, exhibitors use AFL to present their company, to strengthen customer relationships and to gain new customers and suppliers. They also see the exhibition as an excellent way of presenting new products to trade visitors.”
