Asdais the UK's best employer according to a survey published by the Sunday Times yesterday.
500 random Asda employees were surveyed. The benefits offered by the Wal-mart owned supermarket chain outweigh all those other employers surveyed.
80 per cent of Asda employees hold Wal-mart share options through the company's Colleague Share Ownership Plan.
The supermarket chain also offers its female staff a maximum of 52 weeks maternity leave (26 weeks fully paid) from day one of employment.
From April 1, all male staff will be eligible for two weeks paid paternity leave with the option of a further three months unpaid leave.
Adoptive parents are given the same privileges as birth parents. Asda also offers award winning training schemes for its staff.
Asda's chief operating officer, Tony De Nunzio said: 'It's our people who make the difference and I want to pay tribute to the 110,000 wonderful colleagues who through their commitment, hard work and warmth, make Asda such a great place to work.'
