Asda launches healthy living portal

Asda has re-launched its healthy-living website, Health Matters, to offer advice and tips to its customers in improving or maintaining their health.

The site, created by digital agency MadeByPi, replaces the retailer’s previous ‘feel good’ website with several key upgrades to the services.

The website will advise customer on how to improve their health and provide tips in the hope of engaging customers with the retailer.

Asda has introduced a number of extra elements to the site including podcasts and monthly polls as well as Body Mass Index and Nutritional calculators.

Asda has also harnessed the mass appeal of online social networking, giving users the option to introduce the website to friends, increasing awareness of health issues and helping drive traffic through the site.

An Asda nutritionist said the new “vibrant and engaging” reflects the retailer’s pledge to be concerned about its customers’ health.
