Asda and Stubbins Marketing Ltd have been promoting new varieties of locally grown tomatoes at Asda this week.

The supermarket’s store in Harlow Town hosted a five-day trial starting on Monday. Stubbins and the Asda team offered up samples of a new range of British tomatoes each day over the week.

With 17 different varieties ranging from Pink Beef tomatoes to Golden Baby plum, there was be a wide range for customers to choose from.

Stubbins promoted the healthy nature of the products, as well as the green benefits of buying locally produced fresh produce.

On Saturday, in order to mark the start of British tomato week, Tamsyn tomatoes will be given out to Asda customers in Cardiff with locally grown Stubbins tomatoes.
