Fundación ProMendoza of Argentina is promoting the forthcoming VII Workshop on fresh fruits and vegetables to be held in the city of Mendoza, Argentina, between the 8th and the 11th of September 2004.

The objective will be to discuss different aspects related with this sector (i.e.: main characteristics of the fresh produce market, opportunities, risks and international competitors, new tendencies in the consumption of fresh produce, quality standards, harvest and post-harvest techniques).

The event will be followed by business meetings with Argentine exporters and visits to local producers and packaging facilities. Several importers of cherries, apples, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines, grapes, onions and garlic from countries such as Mexico, United States, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Russia, France and United Kingdom have been invited to participate in this VII Workshop.

Last year’s event attracted over 200 people, including international buyers from Costa Rica, Russia, Poland, Spain, Italy and Netherlands.
