The Argentinean Blueberry Committee has launched a European campaign to promote the fruit in the UK, France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.
The initiative, featuring an online media centre, will highlight Argentinean blueberries including varieties O’Neal, Emerald, Misty and Star during their season, before Chilean blueberries reach full volumes in December.
This follows three years of activities with Chile and Uruguay as part of the Blueberries from the South campaign.
Argentinean shipments of blueberries to the UK are estimated to reach 2,600 tonnes this season, up by four per cent on last year’s volumes of 2,500t.
