Farm minister Miguel Angel Paulón and his opposite number at the international trade office Martín Redrado have signed a memorandum of understanding to act together to strengthen export promotion and market placement of Argentina's agricultural and food exports.

The agreement covers a range of activities and strategies, both short and longer term, including the co-ordination of existing activities and flow and dissemination of information between and from the two ministries.

The ministers also agreed to draw up export market profiles and studies for different products and to build strategic alliances with those universities offering relevant degree courses in international business studies and trade.

A website is also in development to support exports and be used to publish feedback from Argentina's missions abroad.

Both ministers also committed to co-ordinating their activities in preparation for presence at trade fairs and trade missions.
