Frozen fresh produce specialist Ardo UK has won an award in recognition for achieving a high level of health and safety.
The Charing-based producer, which was given a Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' (RoSPA), claimed that total accidents fell by 41 per cent between 2011 and 2012, and by over 50 per cent in comparison to figures from 2007.
ArdoUK operations director Jim Everest said: 'I am pleased that our health and safety record has been recognised by RoSPA and we will continue to work to reduce accidents in the workplace through investing in training, safer working conditions and protective clothing.'
