Norman Collett is hoping to attract the attention of the growing convenience sector with its new apple display concept.
The company was at the National Fruit Show last week and was demonstrating its new stand-alone apple display case.
Each apple is individually packaged in a plastic pod, offering a hygienic, convenient solution for convenience stores to sell fruit.
Andy Sadler, md, said it had developed the concept without a particular customer in mind, but added: “I’m confident it’s going to interest customers across the sector.”
Retailers would be able to site fruit near the tills, tempting consumers to make a healthy choice.
